BIOGRAPHY

Mariano Sardón (Bahía Blanca, Argentina, 1968) is an artist and researcher working at the intersection of art, science, and technology. He uses traditional and new media, data visualization, and computer languages to create installations that explore perception, the body, and cognitive processes. Some of his works are developed in collaboration with scientists.
He studied Physics at the University of Buenos Aires. He is an associate artist at the Munich Interactive Intelligence Initiative (Mi3).
He was a mentor and jury member at the European ARTifical Intelligence Lab, Ars Electronica Center.
He won the ARCO/BEEP Award for Electronic Arts 2019 at the ARCO Fair Madrid gallery; the Konex Award in the Visual Arts category 2012, awarded by the Konex Foundation, Buenos Aires; and the Experimentation Award in Non-Traditional Media and Video 2008, awarded by the Argentine Association of Art Critics.
He has given numerous lectures and seminars at the Centre George Pompidou, the Zentrum für Kunst und Medien, ZKM, Karlsruhe, Ars Electronica Center, Linz, Austria, and others.
