Five Spanish, a Cuban, a Venezuelan, an American and a Portuguese, selected in the 2013-2014 call: The artists are Carles Congost, Barcelona, 1970; Albert Corbi, Alicante, 1976; Jon Mikel Euba, Vizcaya, 1967; Julia Spinola, Madrid, 1979; Jorge Yeregui, Santander, 1975; Wilfredo Prieto, Cuba, 1978; Patricia Esquivias, Venezuela, 1979; Justin Thompson, USA, 1979; and Rodrigo Oliveira, Portugal, 1980. All grants are for personal projects.

The jury meeting, held on 6 and 7 June 2013. The selection has been made at the headquarters of the Fundación Botín in Santander between 759 requests received from 51 countries, Spain most. The jury has been integrated by Juan Antonio Álvarez Reyes, director of the Andalusian Centre of contemporary art of Seville; Osvaldo Sánchez curator and art critic; Patricia Dauder old fellow of the Art Foundation; Pedro Cabrita Reis, a reference in Portugal, where he lives and works; and a representative of the Foundation.
