An evening dedicated to Italian photography without a camera will take place on September 19, 2025, at Glashuset, HDK-Valand, University of Gothenburg.

The event concludes the exchange between ABA Catanzaro and HDK-Valand as part of the Performing Festival (for more information, see recent posts).

The exhibition will feature prints created during the July workshop led by the artist Fabio Sandri, with the participation of students from both schools. Sandri will also discuss his own artistic practice.

Italian curator and critic Luca Panaro will present several artists who have experimented with “cameraless” practices in the history of Italian photography. This is a great opportunity for the Swedish audience to discover artists who would otherwise be difficult to know. The talk will be in Italian with English interpretation by Stefano Conti.

The exchange was promoted by ABA Catanzaro with European funds, while SWIT created a bridge to make this collaboration possible.
