New appointment by Fabio Sandri, at the Artericambi gallery, entitled “Trasporti”. For the occasion, the artist proposes the installation of three of his recent works entitled “Garage”, “Ingombrocavo 1”, “Ingombrocavo 2”.

These are sculptures-video-photographic devices which, based on live recording through the emulsified photographic paper previously kept alive, produce direct images of the place and the public. These images in turn take the title of “Transport”, which indicates first of all the condition of carrying the image over time, but also of supporting it from within, and finally a look into the very thickness of duration, where the image is deposited, stratified and reconstituted again and again, in a new body.

For some time now, Fabio Sandri’s work has been characterized by a plastic conception that uses space and photography in its essence as an imprint on a photosensitive support in direct contact with the materiality of places, or with a continuous imprint and in temporal becoming. In recent years he has produced 1: 1 scale photogram cycles of living rooms (Rooms, 2004-2008). In other works, the impressions of film projections on photosensitive paper in an open process of continuous impression are added to those of the environmental situation, as in Incarnato (2005), Construction (2007), Panoramica (2008).
