Il brusio della lingua is a group exhibition proposed by the Cantonal Art School of Valais / Sierre as part of the research project Vedi alla voce.

The second episode of an expository journey initiated in March at the Swiss Institute in Rome, headquarters in Milan, Sierre’s exhibition focuses on Italian as a vehicular and utopian language. Presenting itself as an evolving archive of oral histories, sound memories, interviews and traces of performances, Il brusio della lingua will also present a selection of research documents and a temporary library of writings, articles and editions around migration.

Vedi alla voce is a research project developed within the framework of the cultural exchange program “Viavai – Contrabbando culturale Svizzera-Lombardia”, initiated by the Swiss Foundation for Culture Pro Helvetia and carried out in partnership with the cantons of Ticino and Valais , the city of Zurich and the Ernst Göhner Foundation. It is placed under the sponsorship of the Lombardy Region and the city of Milan. The Vedi alla voce project also benefits from the support of the State of Valais and the partnership with the Fondation Château Mercier, Sierre; viafarini, Milano; Supsi, Lugano.
