KILIAN SCHOENENBERGER

Continuously expanding polygon

12 September - 12 December 2025

PRESS RELEASE

With an exhibition text by MARTIN JAEGGI

Artericambi Gallery is pleased to announce Continuously Expanding Polygon, Kilian Schoenenberger’s first solo exhibition in Italy, exploring the relationship between image, matter, and transformation through a process of continuous transposition between the real and the digital.

Starting from a photograph of sunlight reflected on water, taken by the artist, a process of image transformation unfolds: the entire range of brightness values is extracted and converted into a three-dimensional digital mapping, which is then translated into a series of works produced across different media, from drawing to 3D printing, from milled aluminium to sculpture and video.

Through this process of decontextualization, subtraction, and distortion, Schoenenberger constructs a constellation of works in which forms and colors return as visual echoes, questioning the nature of the image and the possibilities for transforming matter in the transition between the tangible world and the digital realm.

The exhibition will open on Saturday, September 12, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and will remain on view until Saturday, December 12, 2026.
