Artericambi presents the second edition of Looking Up, a project dedicated to the search for new artists and languages emerging from today’s multitude.

The exhibition presents itself again as an observatory of new generations and their perspectives, through an expressive heterogeneity given by the use of different mediums, such as sculpture, painting, installation and video art.

The artists presented, from the Art Academy of Bologna and Brera, are characterized by a different interpretation of the concept of Looking up, enriched with new nuances.

Their gaze upward, beyond the horizon of what is known, brings with it fragments of an ancient world: present, past and future mingle.

Rachele Tinkham‘s sculptural research investigates the dreamlike world and the unconscious, inspired by a fable-like narrative about the construction of dreams. Giulia Querin, with her oil paintings, creates visual notes of archetypes and magical symbologies, which become new totems and hybrid figures between the human, the animal and the inanimate.

Samuele Bartolini through an installation of lenticular prints, plays on the point of view and ambivalence of vision. Finally, Elisabetta Laszlo‘s video work recounts the unpredictability of human destinies in a subtle balance between will and chance.

An irrational and surreal tension hovers over the entire exhibition. An anxiety about the uncertainty of the future appears, lightened, however, by a note of playfulness and fresh irony.
