Mariano Sardón, Blown People #1, 2022

C-print on aluminum

“Blown People” is a digital image of people floating around in countless pixels, like colored dust blown into the air. The process is in fact performed through an algorithm that simulates the movement of the wind. A work by Mariano Sardòn who wants to remind us that decomposition, dissemination, diffusion and mixing are the destiny of our human identity and of our experience in the world. Blow People is therefore a work that comes from the artist’s reflection on the process of social transformation we are experiencing. We are in a world on the verge of extinction, where every conception we knew is gradually disappearing. If until now we have lived in a liquid modernity, now we find ourselves in a gaseous reality.
